SchoolHouse Connection is seeking a Senior Manager, Federal Policy to lead the day-to-day execution of our federal policy agenda for children, youth, and families experiencing homelessness. The role requires strong Capitol Hill experience, bipartisan relationship-building, and the ability to translate complex policy issues into persuasive strategies and materials.

You will work closely with the Executive Director, manage advocacy across education and housing policy, and connect SHC's

Qualifications

• 7+ years in federal public policy with Capitol Hill exposure.
• Knowledge of federal education policy and related housing and homelessness issues.
• Ability to translate policy into clear, persuasive materials for varied audiences.
• Experience building bipartisan relationships with policymakers and stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication and project management skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead development and execution of SHC's federal policy agenda.
• Cultivate bipartisan relationships with congressional staff and federal officials.
• Write briefs, talking points, comments, and advocacy materials.
• Coordinate with SHC teams to align federal policy with practitioner insights.
• Organize and participate in coalitions, meetings, and conferences.
