Job summary

Block is seeking a Federal Affairs Lead to join the US Policy Team in Washington, DC. You will develop and execute engagement strategies with federal policymakers, deepen relationships, and track legislative and regulatory issues to advance Block's economic empowerment goals.

You will report to the Head of US Public Policy and Government Affairs, collaborate with colleagues across the policy team, and spend significant time on Capitol Hill and federal agencies as a registered lobbyist.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in federal government relations.
• Ability to explain complex policy positions to diverse audiences.
• Experience navigating complex policy issues and collaborating across teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to engage with federal officials and regulators.
• Maintain fluency on regulatory issues including financial regulation and privacy.
• Track legislative activity and develop strategies for positive policy outcomes.
• Collaborate with internal functions to deliver cohesive policy responses.
• Serve as a registered lobbyist engaged with Capitol Hill and the Administration.
• Drive processes for inclusive, thoughtful policy responses.
