Job summary

Think Consulting is seeking a Paralegal to support a leading federal agency in Washington, D.C. You will collaborate with attorneys and law enforcement to prepare cases for litigation, manage discovery, and provide courtroom support.

The role involves docket management, PACER workflows, and preparing materials for motions, briefs, and other documents. Strong research skills with LEXIS/Westlaw are a plus.

Qualifications

  • Requires paralegal certificate, JD, or currently attending ABA‑accredited law school, with at least one year of study.
  • At least one year of litigation paralegal experience or related project experience.
  • Familiarity with docket and document review, ideally PACER.
  • Experience with legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Supervisory/management experience overseeing docket & document review, preferably with PACER.

Responsibilities

  • Downloads electronic case filings (ECFs) from PACER.
  • Uploads electronic case filings to automated matters systems.
  • Creates and provides links to electronic case filings for DOJ Attorneys.
  • Responds to DOJ attorney requests for filing information and retrieval.
  • Compiles, prepares, and summarizes materials for attorneys in discovery and motions.
  • Conducts database searches (simple to moderately complex).
  • Performs simple legal research.
  • Indexes, tracks, and controls document discovery, depositions, and trial.
  • Assists attorneys in courtroom.
