Job summary

Evolver is seeking a Security Control Assessor to support a federal client in Washington, DC. On-site 5 days/week, you will conduct security testing for 20 FIPS Moderate/Low systems, develop assessment plans, and present results to Agency stakeholders.

The role requires NIST SP 800-53A experience, POA&M development, and collaboration with ISSOs, CISO, and System Owners. A Bachelor's in CS/IT and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• 4 years of security testing experience per NIST SP 800-53A.
• 2 years of experience with security program management, policy and procedures.
• US Citizenship with ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent security control testing for 20 FIPS Moderate/Low systems.
• Develop Security Controls Assessment Plans and SARs with evidence of testing.
• Prepare and present ST&E results to government stakeholders.
• Maintain testing SOPs and support POA&M closures.
• Assist with updating IT Security Program policies.
