Job summary

Iron Bow Technologies seeks an experienced Network Engineer to support a federal museum client from its Washington, DC area team. You will monitor, deploy, and upgrade networking services on-site and in the cloud, with responsibilities spanning incident resolution, device configuration, and vendor coordination.

You will join a skilled group delivering enterprise-grade IT services with a focus on reliability and security, including occasional Bowie, MD travel and a 24x7 on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of progressive IT experience with at least 5 years in a technical analytical role responsible for 24/7/365 network operations.
• CCNP certification is required; BS in CS/Engineering preferred, additional experience considered in lieu of degree.
• Experience supporting federal customers and working with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
• Strong background in routing, switching, wireless infrastructure, and device configuration (firewalls, routers, switches).
• Ability to communicate with all project levels and leadership, and to coordinate with vendors.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents; prioritize tickets to meet SLA goals.
• Design, install, configure, and maintain networking equipment (firewalls, routers, switches).
• Manage WLAN controllers and wireless access points; monitor with SolarWinds.
• Lead change tickets and participate in client briefings; ensure documentation is updated.
• Support on-site and remote monitoring, incident management, and patch management.
