Job summary

TekSynap Corporation is seeking an IT Business Analyst to support NOAA SBITS in Miami, FL. The role focuses on IT Assets and Inventory Management, maintaining records of hardware, software, and cloud resources, and contributing to procurement tracking and efficient IT operations.

You will help deliver high-quality service, enhance customer satisfaction, and foster ownership and accountability across the team while working in a dynamic federal contracting environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in an inventory-focused role.
• Experience with the ServiceNow CMDB.
• Experience with inventory control and audit in federal IT.
• Background in Inventory/Asset Management with service-improvement track record.
• Experience with incident, problem, and request management, including reporting.
• Strong oral and written communication with senior management.
• Knowledge of IT service desk standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Work with government stakeholders to gather, document, and validate requirements.
• Assist in translating business needs into technical specifications.
• Support creation of BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and process flows.
• Assist in conduct gap analyses and identify process improvements.
• Support UAT, training docs, and rollout planning.
• Ensure compliance with federal IT standards (FISMA, Section 508).
• Assist with inventory tracking and asset management of IT equipment and software licenses.
• Support end-user technical requests and coordinate with Service Desk.
