Job summary

Lawelawe Technology Services in Washington, DC seeks a skilled Business Analyst to structure requirements and bridge the gap between stakeholders and technical teams. You will support Agile delivery, maintain clear documentation, and own backlog items in JIRA.

This full-time onsite role offers hybrid/telework options pending approval, requires U.S. citizenship, a bachelor’s degree, and at least five years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience supporting Agile teams and managing requirements or backlog items in JIRA.
• Experience preparing business requirements documents and supporting user acceptance testing.
• Experience maintaining documentation in Confluence and communicating with technical and business stakeholders.
• Ability to facilitate requirements discussions and write clear acceptance criteria.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements with stakeholders.
• Prepare and maintain business requirements documents and supporting process information.
• Organize and maintain JIRA backlog items to support Agile planning and delivery.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing, document feedback, and track issues through resolution.
• Maintain requirements and project documentation in Confluence and communicate changes.
• Facilitate discussions to clarify stakeholder needs, business rules, process gaps, and expected outcomes.
• Translate requirements into clear backlog items and acceptance criteria that technical teams can use.
• Track requirements changes and dependencies and communicate their effect on scope and testing.
• Support release readiness by organizing test results, unresolved issues, and stakeholder feedback.
