Quantum Sky Engineering LLC is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), Mid level, to support a federal customer in Washington, DC. You will lead information security, privacy, and GRC activities to ensure secure, compliant, and mission-ready systems, engaging with CORs and government leadership.

The role requires thorough knowledge of RMF, NIST publications, and federal privacy laws, with on-site work in DC and minimal remote flexibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of cybersecurity, information assurance, or GRC in RMF lifecycle.
• High school diploma with 8 years of relevant functional responsibility experience may substitute for a Bachelor's degree.
• Certifications (PMP, ISO 27001, or CISM) equate to 3 years of experience each; ITIL, CISSP, or similar equate to 2 years.
• Knowledge of federal privacy programs (Privacy Act, E-Government Act) and related laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead RMF lifecycle activities, including Authorization to Operate (ATO), continuous monitoring, and integration of security, privacy, and legal requirements.
• Develop and present security authorization packages (SSPs, RARs, SAPs, SARs, POA&Ms) per client requirements and NIST SP 800-53.
• Own security and privacy initiatives from planning through completion; manage remediation and ensure timely deliverables.
• Perform security and privacy risk assessments, analyze vulnerabilities, and support continuous monitoring across apps, infrastructure, and data stores.
• Serve as trusted cybersecurity advisor to CORs, system owners, and stakeholders, communicating complex requirements clearly.
