Job summary

SJS Executives, LLC seeks experienced HVAC/AC mechanics for an upcoming contract in Montgomery and Tuskegee, Alabama, to support maintenance at two federal medical facilities. Pay is $25.32/hr plus $5.42/hr for Health & Welfare, totaling $30.74/hr, with 11 paid federal holidays and 56 hours of Sick Leave annually.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems, along with safety and coordination with facilities teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HVAC maintenance and repair experience in commercial, institutional, or healthcare environments.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC systems and related equipment.
• Ability to read HVAC drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Valid Real ID is required to access the facility and pass security checks.
• Must pass a drug test and background check for access to a military installation.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, including filters, coils, lubrication, and system operation checks.
• Inspect HVAC equipment for wear, inefficiencies, and issues; diagnose and repair malfunctions.
• Repair or replace motors, compressors, thermostats, belts, and related components.
• Monitor and maintain central AC systems for temperature, humidity, and ventilation control.
• Ensure indoor air quality and safety by proper operation of ventilation and air distribution systems.
• Respond to service calls and perform corrective maintenance as needed.
• Coordinate with facilities maintenance and other departments to support continuous building operations.
