Job summary

CTIA is seeking a Manager, Government Affairs to support federal advocacy on wireless policy in coordination with CTIA’s members. The role requires substantial project involvement, meeting coordination, and development of advocacy documents, hearings summaries, and data-driven presentations.

The position also includes monitoring legislation, preparing materials for members, and collaborating with outside parties to advance CTIA’s objectives in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Legislative or Capitol Hill background preferred.
• Detail‑oriented with knowledge of grammar and punctuation; proofreading and strong communications skills required.
• Strong familiarity with congressional members and staff and congressional process; ability to understand technology and industry issues.

Responsibilities

• Assist SVP Government Affairs and team on coordinating, organizing, executing, and reporting Federal legislative advocacy as issues arise.
• Draft, proofread, and distribute printed materials with Government Affairs team.
• Attend congressional hearings and prepare summaries for distribution to member companies.
• Assist Government Affairs with lobbying and outreach with Association members, consultants, and outside parties.
• Compile information for distribution to members, consultants, or other constituencies on wireless issues.
• Keep apprised of industry developments and potential impacts on Association objectives.
• Work with the PAC Director on creation of materials, data compilation, and distribution.
• Provide research and data gathering support for advocacy materials.
• Track and monitor legislation, hearings, and floor activity.
