Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a seasoned Lobbyist to support the company's federal government affairs strategy from Washington, D.C. You will develop relationships with Members of Congress and staff, advocate for priorities in telecommunications, privacy, AI, cybersecurity, and drones, and coordinate with senior committees.

Role requires Capitol Hill experience, strong policy knowledge, and the ability to communicate complex policy positions clearly to diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 3+ years of government experience required.
• Strong understanding of the legislative process and relevant committee jurisdictions.
• Ability to advocate for the company's policy positions impartially and effectively.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute federal advocacy strategies in support of Motorola Solutions' legislative and policy priorities.
• Maintain relationships with Senators, Members of Congress, and senior committee staff.
• Proactively set up meetings with congressional offices to educate policymakers on Motorola Solutions' technologies and policy positions.
• Engage regularly with Senate and House Commerce and Judiciary Committee members and staff on priority issues.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on legislative and regulatory developments related to telecommunications, data privacy, AI, cybersecurity, drones, and other issues.
• Prepare meeting readouts and communications for internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in trade association calls to stay current on policy developments and coordinate advocacy strategies.
