Job summary

Aretum is seeking an experienced Director of Business Development to drive growth across the Federal Civilian market in the DMV region. This role will build a qualified pipeline, develop customer and industry relationships, and shape opportunities from identification through pursuit.

The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of federal procurement and a track record of opening doors, with the ability to collaborate across Capture, Proposal, Solutions, Pricing, and Operations teams to win.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in federal business development, GovCon, with Federal Civilian focus.
• Proven success identifying, developing, and advancing opportunities within the federal market.
• Established Federal Civilian relationships and ability to open doors.

Responsibilities

• Drive new business growth by identifying, developing, qualifying, and advancing opportunities.
• Build and manage a qualified pipeline aligned with growth priorities.
• Maintain a visible federal market presence through site visits and events.
• Lead pipeline reviews, capture activities, and pricing discussions.
• Coordinate pursuit activities across executives and teams.
