Job summary

C3 AI, an enterprise AI software company, seeks Forward Deployed Engineers to design, develop, and deploy AI-based applications for U.S. federal customers on the C3 Agentic AI Platform. The role involves full-stack development, demonstrations, trials, and production deployments with hands-on customer exposure.

Candidates must be U.S. citizens, eligible for security clearance, and available to graduate in December 2026 or Summer/Fall 2027. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed BS/MS in CS/CE or related field.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.
• Experience with Python, JavaScript, Java, or other object-oriented languages.
• Hands-on experience with data structures, algorithms, cloud computing, relational or NoSQL databases, and profiling & optimization.
• Familiarity with agentic AI architectures, prompt engineering, or LLM tool calling and function execution.
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with a team-oriented approach.
• Ability to operate with high autonomy in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate across teams.
• Thrives in a fun, friendly, intellectually stimulating team culture.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain performant and scalable applications on the C3 Agentic AI Platform.
• Build and improve tools that help users understand and analyze large-scale data.
• Perform debugging, troubleshooting, modifications, and unit testing of customer applications.
• Assess technical risks and formulate mitigation strategies.
• Develop specifications, technical documentation, and user guides.
• Support demonstrations, proofs-of-technology, and customer training with senior engineers.
