Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Technician for our federal team at the White Sands Missile Range site. The role involves inspecting, testing, and servicing life-safety systems, including fire sprinkler and fire pump systems, in accordance with NFPA codes and Johnson Controls procedures.

We offer $28.00-$35.00 per hour, with benefits on day one, and a company vehicle for field work. Travel is limited; most work is at the primary site.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in fire sprinkler industry performing service and repair to sprinkler/suppression systems.
• Licenses required by National, State and Local codes.
• Maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
• Must have valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Capable of performing physical labor including lifting up to 70 lbs.
• Able to work in climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 60 feet.

Responsibilities

• Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to manuals to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Perform and document fire suppression inspections and tests.
• Demonstrate high level of customer service with strong organizational skills and positive attitude.
