Job summary

LaunchCode partners with a federal program to hire a Federal Financial Management Analyst to support financial management and modernization initiatives within the Defense sector.

The role focuses on federal financial management, audit readiness, internal controls, financial systems, and data‑driven decision making, using Power BI, Databricks, Palantir Foundry, Celonis, and emerging AI tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of federal experience or equivalent.
• U.S. citizenship with active Secret clearance; sponsorship may be available.
• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree from an accredited university.
• Experience with federal financial management, accounting, audit readiness, or related processes.
• Familiarity with federal regulatory guidance (Treasury/GAO/OMB).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assess financial risks, accounting processes, and reporting to strengthen internal controls and audit readiness.
• Support financial management system implementation with finance and audit input.
• Develop Process Control Narratives (PCNs) and audit artifacts for key processes.
• Apply NIST 800-53, FISCAM, and related guidance to support compliance.
• Document current-state processes and opportunities during Business Process Reviews (BPRs).
• Track CAPs and assist with NFRs resolution.
• Analyze data and develop dashboards using Power BI, Databricks, Palantir Foundry, and Celonis.
• Assist automation of routine processes and reporting using analytics and AI.
• Collaborate with clients, IPAs, and government stakeholders on audit readiness and milestones.
• Support financial management transformation across finance, data analytics, and technology initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting and decision-making through automation.
