Job summary

Empirical seeks a Federal Financial Auditor to strengthen the accuracy and transparency of a major federal program’s financial and operational data in a high-visibility role.

The position focuses on federal data analytics, dashboard development, and data quality testing, enabling direct impact on audit readiness and financial management. The role offers strong compensation and benefits within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience supporting federal budget or financial management operations.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a federal background investigation or security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial analysis, forecasting, cash-flow projections, and financial modeling.
• Perform variance and trend analysis, expenditure reviews, and risk identification.
• Track and reconcile agency allocations and reimbursable agreements.
• Support invoice processing, including validation, routing, tracking, and reconciliation.
• Analyze financial and operational data and prepare reports, dashboards, and briefings.
• Support internal controls testing and compliance activities.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and contribute to process improvements and modernization.
