Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 2–3 years in climate or clean energy policy.
  • Strong research, writing, briefing and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with U.S. climate and energy policy; Capitol Hill experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with tracking systems and databases (e.g., Excel or Airtable).

Responsibilities

  • Track and analyze federal policy developments affecting emissions and resilience.
  • Advise governors’ offices and staff on federal actions and engagement opportunities.
  • Draft and edit federal components of the Alliance’s weekly newsletter.
  • Manage relationships with partner organizations and external audiences.
  • Develop rollout plans for announcements, newsletters, and events.
  • Assist with international exchanges and maintain relevant databases.
