Accenture Federal Services is seeking an application engineer to convert complex mission needs into dependable enterprise software. You will build services, APIs, business logic, data interactions, and integrations powering federal applications across platforms.

You may lead modernization efforts, define patterns, mentor engineers, and influence architecture while collaborating with product managers, security teams, and client stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in back‑end, application, software, API, or integration engineering.
• Hands‑on development in Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Go, or comparable languages.
• Experience building or consuming REST APIs, services, or enterprise integrations.
• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases and data access concepts.
• Experience using code assist technologies (e.g., Gemini Code Assist, Copilot, CodeWhisperer).
• Understanding of automated testing, source control, CI/CD, and Agile delivery.
• For deeper experience, ability to lead complex work, mentor others, and drive patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain enterprise application services, APIs, business logic, data-access layers, and integrations.
• Develop solutions using Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Go, or similar technologies.
• Integrate applications with databases, messaging platforms, external services, and cloud platforms.
• Modernize legacy components and decomposition into maintainable services and reusable capabilities.
• Write automated tests, participate in code reviews, CI/CD, debugging, and production support.
• Apply secure coding, API design, error handling, logging, observability, and data integrity practices.
