Chevo LLC in the Washington, DC area seeks an experienced Federal Writer- Documentation Specialist to develop, write, and edit manuals, reports, and training materials for diverse audiences, serving as a trusted advisor with client interaction.

Ideal candidates hold a BA/BS and 3–10 years of technical writing experience supporting the federal government, preferably DHS projects. This is a hybrid role with 1 day per week on-site in the DC metro area.

Qualifications

• B.A. or B.S. required.
• 3-10 years of technical writing experience supporting the Federal Government.

Responsibilities

• Develops, writes, and edits materials for manuals, reports, studies, customization of training materials, and other types of documentation for varied audiences.
• Uses guidelines such as program objectives and identified audience needs, researches, writes, edits, and designs a variety of technical and promotional project specific materials.
• Researches appropriate subject-matter literature and proofread copies of regulation / guideline manuals for accuracy of interpretation and grammar.
