The Building People is seeking a seasoned Deferred Maintenance & Repair (DMR) Cost Estimator in Seattle to provide expert cost estimating support for federal facilities projects. You will prepare estimates using PACES and MII, develop Basis of Estimate docs, and perform LCCA and risk analyses.
You will maintain cost libraries, conduct escalation forecasts, and assist project managers during negotiations and change orders, ensuring GAO and AACE best practices are followed.

The Deferred Maintenance & Repair (DMR) Cost Estimator provides expert cost estimating support for federal deferred maintenance, recapitalization, and construction projects. The role involves preparing detailed cost estimates using PACES and MII software, developing Basis of Estimate documentation, conducting Life Cycle Cost Analyses (LCCA), and ensuring compliance with GAO and AACE International cost estimating best practices. The Cost Estimator also develops and maintains agency-specific cost libraries and historical cost databases, performs cost escalation forecasts, and supports project managers during negotiations, change orders, and risk analysis.
