Job summary

KBR, Inc. seeks a Contracts Manager (Contingency) to oversee contract administration for assigned Strategic Programs and serve as the primary customer contact for FEMA Public Assistance matters.

Requirements include 10+ years in Government Contract Administration, a related bachelor’s degree, and strong written/verbal communication with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced disaster environment.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Government Contract Administration experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, or related field.
  • Experience in Government Contract Administration; may count additional experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 10 years of experience in contract management and/or related field.
  • 120 hours of continuing professional education in related fields.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced disaster environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
  • English fluency.
  • Knowledge of FEMA Public Assistance program operations.

Responsibilities

  • Review performance requirements ensuring contracts are in accordance with terms and conditions, customer specifications and government regulations.
  • Oversee the issuance of contract documents across internal functions to evaluate contract direction and provide feedback.
  • Display advanced core job competencies in analyzing solutions using standard procedures, sound reasoning, and decision-making abilities.
  • Build positive relationships with all departments and operational teams by maintaining excellent internal and external customer service standards.
  • Participate in the development of functional strategy and may be responsible for global processes and procedures.
