Job summary

Kaiva Tech, LLC, in Rockville, MD, seeks a Contract Specialist to support the full federal procurement lifecycle onsite. The role reports to the Kaiva Program Manager and is full-time (40 hours/week).

The candidate will ensure FAR compliance and may lead complex acquisitions, negotiations, and mentoring of junior staff. Essential duties include drafting SOWs, IGCEs, J&A, APs, and acquisition packages, tracking progress, and coordinating with program, legal, and finance offices.

Qualifications

• DAWIA or FAC-C coursework required.
• Bachelor's degree or 24 sem hours meeting OPM 1102 standards.
• Deg ree coursework aligned with OPM 1102 fields such as business, accounting, finance, law, economics, contracts, or purchasing.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and coordinate acquisition documentation (SOW, IGCE, J&A, AP, etc.).
• Track progress and communicate package status with program office.
• Conduct market research to support acquisition strategy and competition.
• Perform cost and price analyses, including cost-reimbursement support.
• Prepare negotiation memoranda, award recommendations, and contract award docs.
• Support or lead Contract Review Board (CRB) processes and contract file integrity.
• Oversee post-award contract administration including modifications and closeout.
• Maintain acquisition records in PRISM, FPDS, and other systems.
• Coordinate with program, legal, finance, and policy offices to resolve issues.
• Manage multiple procurements under deadlines.
• Prepare and present acquisition information in reports.
• Complete required training, certifications, timesheets, and compliance reporting.
