Job summary

Onsite Construction Company in Oklahoma City seeks a Federal Project Manager to supervise federal construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. The ideal candidate will have proven federal project experience, FAR/DFARS knowledge, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams to meet project goals.

The role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to obtain the necessary federal security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
• 5–10 years of experience managing federal or military construction projects.
• Proficiency with FAR/DFARS and federal contracting requirements.
• Proficiency with project management software (Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam).
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to obtain federal security clearance if required; pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of federal construction projects (planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, execution).
• Serve as primary contact with federal contracting officers, clients, and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with contract documents, FAR/DFARS, and federal labor and safety standards.
• Prepare and review project schedules (CPM), submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• Oversee cost control, risk management, and progress reporting.
• Apply LEAN construction principles to project execution.
• Lead project meetings and communicate project status to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with quality control, safety, and field teams for project excellence.
• Manage project closeout, including as-builts, warranties, and final documentation.
• Some traveling may be required.
