Job summary

FESCO Energy LLC is seeking a senior delivery leader to manage federal and military construction and energy projects from award to closeout. You will own scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality, and customer communication across complex, mission-critical facilities.

As part of a hybrid role, you will coordinate with engineering, procurement, and finance teams, lead subcontractor efforts, and maintain audit-ready documentation.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of construction PM experience with federal/military work.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, schedules, budgets, and change orders.
  • Experience on active federal installations or mission-critical facilities.
  • Strong understanding of contracts, submittals, RFIs, procurement, safety, QA/QC, closeout.
  • Proficiency with RMS, Primavera P6, and Real Property transfer.
  • Federal security, badging, Davis-Bacon, or site access experience.

Responsibilities

  • Own project execution from kickoff through closeout, including scope, schedule, budget, safety coordination, quality, change orders, subcontractors, and customer communication.
  • Maintain accurate project controls including cost-loaded schedule, risk register, submittal log, RFI log, procurement log, change order log, meeting minutes, and forecast updates.
  • Lead subcontractor coordination, field planning, look-ahead schedules, owner meetings, and internal status updates.
  • Manage federal documentation requirements, site access, security coordination, QA/QC, safety submittals, and closeout packages.
  • Identify schedule and cost risks early and elevate with recommended corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with engineering, estimating, procurement, finance, and executive leadership to protect margin and customer confidence.
  • Ensure project documents and files are current and audit-ready.
  • Support monthly WIP forecasting with accurate cost-to-complete, revenue recognition support, and change order assumptions.

MAJOR PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Senior delivery leader responsible for managing federal and military construction/energy projects from award through closeout, with full ownership of scope, schedule, budget, subcontractors, documentation, customer communication, safety coordination, and change management.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • As the Project Manager, reporting to the Director of Operations and Construction, you will own project execution from kickoff through closeout, including scope, schedule, budget, safety coordination, quality, change orders, subcontractors, and customer communication.

This is a hybrid position with remote work and project site travel when needed.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • 10+ years of construction project management experience with federal/military work for USACE, NAVFAC, AFCEC, DOD, VA, GSA or similar. Experience in healthcare, energy, infrastructure, electrical, mechanical, controls, or design-build work a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors, schedules, budgets, change orders, owner communication, and documentation.
  • Experience on active federal installations or mission-critical facilities, preferably military construction.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, submittals, RFIs, procurement, safety, QA/QC, and closeout.
  • Proficiency with RMS, Primavera P6, and Real Property transfer.
  • Federal security, badging, Davis-Bacon, certified payroll, or site-specific access experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICIATIONS:
  • PMP, QCM, OSHA 30, NAVFAC Redzone, USACE/NAVFAC CQM, or related credentials.
  • Experience with solar, microgrid, BESS, generator, MV electrical, controls, CHP, or utility coordination.
  • Proficiency with Procore, MS Project or similar scheduling tools, Excel, Teams/SharePoint, and project reporting.
