Job summary

Nightwing is seeking a senior cloud architect to design and maintain scalable, secure AWS-based infrastructure for engagement kits used in cyber incident response. You will shape IaC templates, automate provisioning, and collaborate with DevOps to strengthen CI/CD pipelines while aligning with mission requirements and federal security standards.

The role requires 8+ years in cloud architectures, TS/SCI clearance, and deep AWS expertise in EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, and CloudFormation.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship and TS/SCI clearance required.
• 8+ years of directly relevant experience in cloud architectures.
• 5+ years designing cloud architectures, preferably on AWS.
• Strong AWS knowledge: EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Networking basics: TLS, VPC firewall management.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect maintainable cloud infrastructure for engagement kits aligned with mission requirements.
• Customize kit configurations to align with engagement scope and parameters.
• Develop automation frameworks to streamline provisioning and deployment.
• Create and maintain infrastructure-as-code templates and documentation.
• Ensure architecture supports rapid reconfiguration for dynamic mission needs.
• Implement security controls including encryption and hardened configurations.
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to enhance CI/CD pipelines.
• Evaluate and recommend new cloud services and technologies to improve capabilities.
• Conduct architecture reviews and provide guidance to implementation teams.
• Support troubleshooting of complex architectural issues during active operations.
