As a Client Director (CD), you will focus on selling Optiv + ClearShark's security services and technology solutions to the US Combatant Command customer base. Your responsibilities include owning and coordinating all aspects of the sales cycle within your assigned accounts and leading a cross-functional team to develop and execute a multi-year strategic account management plan. This team includes a Client Solution Architect, Executive Advisory Director, Client Operations Specialist, and one or more Client Associates. The CD leads this team but does not manage personnel directly; instead, they lead sales execution with support from team managers.

You will develop a multi-year strategic account plan, understanding your client's core business objectives and how they relate to cybersecurity risk mitigation. You will collaborate with client leadership to refine or build security strategies and propose solutions over a multi-year period, including security consulting, hardware/software solutions, advisory, implementation, support, and managed services. The goal is to establish a trusted relationship, making Optiv + ClearShark the primary security partner.

Enhancing client satisfaction is key. You will meet with clients early to understand their goals and expectations, review progress quarterly, and engage Optiv executives as needed to ensure goals are met or exceeded.

How you'll make an impact

  • Focus on growth and retention of the US Combatant Command business.
  • Build trusted relationships with client executives at multiple levels.
  • Create multi-year account plans based on client goals and security trends.
  • Build a sales pipeline 3-4 times larger than targets and achieve/exceed gross margin goals of over $2M annually.
  • Manage forecasts with high accuracy and integrity.
  • Lead your team to execute using principles like MEDDICC and Command of the Message.
  • Communicate Optiv’s value proposition effectively.
  • Build relationships with technology partners to generate leads and opportunities.
  • Coordinate communications between clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Maintain internal communications regarding opportunities and client satisfaction.

What we're looking for

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • 7-10+ years in solution and services sales in IT or Security environments.
  • Experience working with the US Combatant Command ecosystem.
  • Proven success in managing multi-million-dollar gross margin accounts and strategic plans.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Strong business acumen linking business and cybersecurity risks.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with key executives.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of the IT security and Risk & Compliance markets.
  • History of exceeding sales targets.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience selling complex multi-year solutions to Fortune 1000 clients.
  • Knowledge of IT Infrastructure and management consulting services.
  • Experience in financing solutions.
  • #LI-BC1

What you can expect from Optiv

  • Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion through Employee Resource Groups.
  • Work/life balance and professional training resources.
  • Opportunity to work on complex, innovative projects.
  • Volunteer opportunities through “Optiv Chips In”.
  • Remote work technology and support.
