Environment America is hiring a Federal Campaigns Associate to work on our federal campaigns to protect the natural world.
One example: Bees are dying. Many of the roughly 4,000 bee species native to the United States, including more than a quarter of North American bumblebees, are currently on a path that may lead to their extinction. It's not just the bees: Development, drilling, pesticides and climate change are taking their toll on all America's wildlife. Our federal campaigns associate will build support across the country and on both sides of the aisle to restore and protect habitat for the littlest bees, the biggest bison and every critter in between.
The Federal Campaigns Associate will work with our federal legislative team on our campaigns, including campaigns to save the bees, defend public lands and more. This position requires excellent judgment, discretion and the ability to oversee significant projects. Representative responsibilities include:
Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply. Though we expect you to take your campaign and run with it, we provide training on advocacy and organizing skills, as well as oversight by an experienced advocate. Candidates must be able to travel regularly and be motivated to work when needed, which may sometimes be in the evenings and on weekends.

The target annual compensation for this entry-level position is $40,000 in the first year. Environment America offers an excellent benefits package.
