M2 Strategy is seeking a Budget Analyst to join our firm supporting government and commercial clients. The role focuses on developing, analyzing, and managing agency budgets in line with federal guidelines. You will prepare justifications, reports, and support leadership and oversight bodies.

Most positions are hybrid, requiring work at client locations and telework. A B.A./B.S. and at least four years in a budget environment are preferred, along with strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Federal budget experience is required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
• Analytical and strategic thinking; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, analyze, and manage agency budgets in line with federal guidelines and priorities.
• Prepare budget justifications, reports, and documentation for leadership and oversight bodies.
• Monitor budget execution to ensure funds are spent appropriately and within limits.
• Provide financial forecasts and projections based on current data.
