Customs and Border Protection is hiring Customs and Border Protection Officers (CBPO) to enforce customs, immigration, and agriculture laws, and to safeguard the nation’s borders. The role includes inspecting people and conveyances, determining admissibility for entry, and ensuring the flow of legitimate travel and trade.

Positions range from entry to mid-level, with base pay at GS-5/7/9 levels. Incentives and comprehensive benefits are offered as part of federal employment within CBP.

Qualifications

• 3 years of general experience for GS-5, or an education substitution leading to a bachelor's degree.
• GS-7 requires 1 year of specialized experience or equivalent.
• GS-9 requires 1 year of specialized experience or equivalent plus applicable education/substitution.
