Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking a Cloud Engineer (AWS) to support documentation, engineering, security, and operational processes for a large federal agency. You will design scalable cloud solutions and lead migrations while ensuring security controls and reliability across SaaS/PaaS/IaaS environments.

The role emphasizes hands-on AWS work, architectural design, and collaboration with government clients to deliver production-ready, secure cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years supporting federal government IT environments.
• Strong architectural skills for highly distributed apps and cloud solutions.
• Hands-on AWS experience with design and production deployments.
• Experience with lift-and-shift migrations and cloud compute concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design solutions with security controls while ensuring flexibility and scalability.
• Develop documentation to support engineering, security, and operations.
• Analyze options and assist customer decisions during the project lifecycle.
• Transition solutions to operations and ensure ongoing reliable performance.
