Job summary

Oddball seeks an experienced ATO Specialist to own the Authority to Operate lifecycle for the VA Chatbot program. You will partner with engineering, program leadership and government stakeholders to maintain an audit-ready security posture while delivering on mission goals.

Responsibilities include leading ATO, reauthorization, and continuous monitoring; producing SSPs, POA&Ms, SARs, and PIAs; aligning controls with RMF and VA policy; advocating Zero Trust to strengthen the platform.

Qualifications

• Experience leading ATO for federal information systems.
• Strong knowledge of RMF and federal security requirements.
• Experience producing SSPs, POA&Ms, PIAs, and SARs.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture in federal contexts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the ATO, reauthorization, and Continuous Monitoring lifecycle for the VA Chatbot system.
• Serve as the primary security point of contact for the program, coordinating with VA stakeholders and internal leadership.
• Prepare, maintain, and update SSPs, POA&Ms, SARs, PIAs, and supporting evidence.
• Partner with engineering and program management to ensure controls align with RMF and VA security policy.
• Coordinate control assessments and responses to audit findings.
• Advocate for security best practices, including Zero Trust Architecture, to strengthen security posture.
