Job summary

Transportation Security Administration (TSA) seeks Federal Air Marshals to protect aviation and travelers. Duties include in-flight security, threat assessment, and interagency coordination, with irregular schedules and frequent travel.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens, 21+, with background clearance and firearms proficiency. A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable. Training is provided through the agency.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen or national to qualify.
• Three years of progressively responsible experience or a bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Clear background check and ability to obtain TS/SCI-equivalent clearance.

Responsibilities

• Protect commercial flights from terrorist activity and other threats.
• Work discreetly aboard domestic and international flights.
• Assess situations and respond with limited backup.
• Carry firearms and maintain required proficiency.
• Engage in investigations, interviews, and multi-agency coordination.
