Role and Responsibilities:
As an Account Executive, you are the front line of the sales process, effectively building a "business within a business".
- Meeting with Clients: Discuss business requirements, challenges, and objectives, uncovering sales opportunities for engineering services and technical solutions.
- Structuring Deals: Collaborate with Sales Engineers and Solutions Architects to position deals for success, working with stakeholders to secure funding, contracts, and engage external partners.
- Market Research and Prospecting: Manage assigned accounts and proactively research and reach out to prospects to generate sales opportunities.
- Networking: Develop relationships within industry partnerships, OEMs, consultants, and VARs to build your professional brand.
- Continual Education: Invest in ongoing sales, industry, and OEM-specific training to enhance your value proposition.
- Sales Reporting: Maintain and update your sales pipeline regularly.
- Collaborating with Other Departments: Work closely with engineering, project management, and post-sales operations teams.
What You Bring to the Table:
- High school diploma or GED
- Either 3+ years of recent Federal Market sales experience with a proven track record in selling advanced technology solutions OR recent technical experience within the Federal Government (DoD, Intelligence, or Civilian agencies)
- Excellent solution and consultative selling skills
- Demonstrated success in sales and account development with growth in revenue and gross profit
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities
- Responsive communication skills for internal and external stakeholders
- Experience working with customer, departmental, and executive staff
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects
- Proactive organizational and problem-solving skills
- Extreme attention to detail
- Ability to absorb and communicate technical information effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Preferred Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and training
