National Beef Packing Company, LLC. is hiring a Fed Cattle Scheduler in the U.S. Midwest region.

This on-site role focuses on managing cattle flow from suppliers to our Liberal, KS and Dodge City, KS and Tama, IA plants, ensuring timely shipments and accurate communication with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure and work effectively in a team environment.

• Ability to visualize geographic locations and cattle flow across processing facilities.

• Willing to work early morning schedule and maintain urgency to meet schedules.

Responsibilities

• Manage the flow of cattle from fed cattle suppliers to Liberal, KS, Dodge City, KS, and Tama, IA processing plants.
• Communicate shipment schedules accurately and timely to suppliers; monitor deliveries.
• Coordinate with field buyers, suppliers, and third‑party carriers to ensure adequate cattle volumes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Fed Cattle Scheduler responsibilities include but are not limited to:

This position is responsible for managing the flow of cattle from fed cattle suppliers to our Liberal, KS and Dodge City, KS and Tama, IA processing plants.

• Communicate shipment schedules accurately and timely to suppliers while monitoring actual cattle deliveries


• Work closely with field buyers, fed cattle suppliers, National Carriers Livestock Transportation as well as outside livestock carriers to ensure adequate quantities of cattle are delivered to each processing facility as directed


• Other duties as assigned

This is an on-siteposition.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates for the Fed Cattle Scheduler position should possess the following:

Must Have:

• Computer skills including Microsoft Office

• Knowledge of beef production


• Knowledge of cattle feeding processes


• Degree in Animal or Meat Science with emphasis on cattle or beef production

Qualified candidates for this position will be required to successfully complete the background check.
