An established industry player is seeking a Feather Process Operator to manage the cooking process of raw feathers into finished products. Hours: C Shift - Thursday to Sunday, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm
The Feather Process Operator controls the cooking process from hydrolyzing raw feathers to producing the finished product. Operates rubber-tired tractor-type vehicles equipped with front-mounted hydraulically powered buckets or scoops to transport bulk materials to and from storage and processing areas, feeding cookers, hoppers, or chutes. Minimum of 6 months experience in industrial, manufacturing, construction, or landscaping environments. One year of continuous employment with the most recent employer.
Requires regular sitting, walking, handling, climbing, talking, and smelling. Occasionally standing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crawling. Must lift up to 25 pounds regularly, 50 pounds frequently, and 100 pounds occasionally. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Must be willing and able to perform physical requirements with or without accommodations.
Exposure to moving mechanical parts, extreme heat, wet/humid conditions, high places, fumes, airborne particles, weather, vibration, chemicals, and electrical hazards. Noise levels are usually very loud.
Maintain a clean work area, use PPE, report injuries and hazards, inspect tools, and follow safety rules.
