Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all. Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.
In this role, you will lead the Pre-MOR team within Global Central Planning. This team develops the strategy and manufacturing readiness approach for new technology nodes in Micron's global front-end network. You will build and lead a team of engineers and authorities. They convert technology requirements into equipment, space, utility, capacity, and capital plans. These plans support successful high-volume manufacturing. Success in this position requires strong cross-functional leadership, critical thinking, and the ability to influence outcomes across Technology Development, Manufacturing, Central Engineering, Facilities, Procurement, and Finance.
Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and mentor a group of Pre-MOR engineers and subject matter experts, prioritising tasks, setting performance expectations, building technical capability, and crafting a strong succession pipeline.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities among Research and Development, Production, Core Engineering, Site Operations, Procurement, Finance, and Planning teams to support successful technology node introductions and manufacturing transitions.
- Drive manufacturing readiness strategies by converting technology requirements into equipment, capacity, space, utility, and capital plans that support future manufacturing needs.
- Lead initiatives to improve cleanroom space efficiency, utility trade ratios, and overall manufacturing productivity through benchmarking, analysis, and cross-functional execution.
- Develop decision frameworks and cases that connect technology development achievements, manufacturing readiness, transition costs, capital requirements, and node viability.
- Define and maintain modeling methodologies, standards, and analytical frameworks that ensure accurate, scalable, and decision-ready planning capabilities.
- Advance automation, analytics, and AI-enabled decision-support solutions using tools such as Python, SQL, reporting platforms, and intelligent planning technologies.
- Influence executive decision-making by translating complex technical analyses into clear recommendations, risks, trade-offs, and actionable strategies for senior leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or another quantitative field.
- Five or more years of experience in semiconductor technology, process engineering, equipment engineering, facilities, manufacturing, planning, or related functions.
- Proven experience leading complex multi-functional programs and influencing outcomes across organizations without direct authority.
- Working knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing operations, including process flows, capacity modeling, cleanroom space utilization, equipment planning, and utility constraints.
- Strong analytical, financial, project leadership, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Business, or a field involving quantitative analysis.
- Experience supporting technology transfers, new technology node introductions, fab conversions, or manufacturing expansion programs.
- Experience with cleanroom space planning, facility and utility development, equipment layout optimization, and manufacturing density benchmarking.
- Experience developing advanced modeling, analytics, automation, and AI-enabled planning solutions using Python, SQL, agentic AI, or web-based reporting tools.
- Experience leading teams and presenting strategic recommendations to Director-, Vice President-, or executive-level leadership.
