Job summary

GFT is seeking a CEI Inspector with FDOT experience to join our Construction Management and Construction Engineering Inspection team in Orlando, FL. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of inspection experience in roadway and bridge construction, with detailed responsibilities including daily site observations, material sampling, and documentation.

The candidate will work with multiple inspectors, manage documents, and ensure compliance with plans and regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CEI inspection experience in roadway/bridge construction.
• Strong writing, listening, and communication skills.
• Safety-first mindset and ability to work with diverse teams.
• CTQP certifications listed in the ad.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Observe and inspect road and bridge construction to ensure compliance with plans and specs.
• Document construction activities and prepare material samples for testing.
• Maintain daily logs and assist with quantity tracking and change orders.
• Coordinate with other inspectors and verify levels, alignment, and elevations.
• Operate with safety practices on all site activities.
• Utilize Microsoft Office, Bluebeam and other platforms to manage documents.
