Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be already FDLE-certified correctional officer.
• College coursework in behavioral sciences or related field preferred.
• Possession of applicable state requisites for employment.
• Must have a valid state driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor inmates in living, recreation, dining, and visitation areas.
• Coordinate inmate movement and emergency response as needed.
• Ensure program activities stay safe and supervise labor crews.
• Conduct shakedowns for contraband and confiscate prohibited items per policies and procedures.
• Keep daily logs on inmates, including disciplinary reports.
• Provide prompt and appropriate assistance to those who have been injured, ill, or traumatized.
• Report maintenance or repair needs to keep the facility clean.
