Job summary

OpenAI’s Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) team is hiring an Onboarding & Enablement Program Manager to design and run systems that accelerate ramp, knowledge sharing, and execution as the team scales. This role partners with FDE leadership and cross-functional teams in Engineering, Product, and GTM to translate field learnings into structured onboarding and enablement programs.

The position sits in San Francisco with a hybrid work model (3 days in the office per week) and relocation assistance

Qualifications

• 5+ years in onboarding program management, enablement, learning and development, operations, or similar roles supporting technical teams in fast-paced environments.
• Experience building or running onboarding and enablement programs that help new hires ramp quickly in complex technical roles.
• Ability to translate AI capabilities into practical workflows that improve team operations.

Responsibilities

• Own onboarding end-to-end, designing and operating a structured ramp experience for new team members.
• Build and evolve enablement infrastructure: onboarding pathways, playbooks, learning assets, knowledge systems.
• Partner with adjacent teams to improve coordination and execution across functions.
• Codify patterns and lessons from deployments into reusable resources.
• Manage program cadence: planning, stakeholder coordination, content refresh, session scheduling.
• Measure ramp and enablement effectiveness using adoption signals and outcomes, then improve the system.
