Job summary

Airwallex is looking for a Manager to shape and scale the Global FCC Monitoring & Testing framework. You will independently validate AML, sanctions, and KYC/KYB controls across production environments and establish a comprehensive monitoring program.

This role covers ANZ and involves collaboration across regions to uphold governance and compliance standards. You will work with Product, Engineering, Operations, and leadership to turn testing insights into remediation and a defensible compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Law, Information Systems, or related field.
• CAMS certification or ICA International Diploma in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (or equivalent).
• 7+ years of experience in FCC quality assurance, compliance monitoring, internal audit, or related second/third‑line control function in fintech/payments.
• Strong knowledge of financial crime controls across transaction monitoring, sanctions/PEP screening, CDD, and KYC/KYB workflows.
• Proven mastery of risk‑based testing methodologies, including scoping, sampling, design and operating effectiveness assessments, issue writing, and remediation validation.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the strategic development, execution, and continuous evolution of Airwallex’s Global FCC Monitoring & Testing Programme.
• Design testing frameworks to validate core compliance controls across onboarding, reviews, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, and regulatory reporting workflows.
• Oversee ongoing FCC monitoring program for ANZ with KPIs and operating effectiveness metrics.
• Transition to continuous, data‑enabled assurance using data analytics, system logs, and automated testing scripts.
• Validate system‑encoded controls, including transaction monitoring thresholds and risk ratings, ensuring no logic drift.
• Translate testing outcomes into clear reporting for executives and governance forums; drive remediation of deficiencies.
• Represent the FCC monitoring function during regulatory exams, audits, and banking partner reviews.
