Wage Structure

The purpose of this job is to safely weld in all positions according to company specifications and standard work.

Responsibilities
  • Follow documented procedures, standard work, routings, and blueprints to perform safe and defect-free operations.
  • Hand weld all plain and alloy structural steel in all positions.
  • Use jib or gantry cranes to manually position welding equipment.
  • Grind and dress fabricated weldments.
  • Operate forklift, scissor lift, and area lift to access weldments as needed.
Qualifications
  • At least 1+ years of experience with Flux-cored arc welding (FCAW).
  • Experience with 3-5 multi-pass welds on heavy 1” plates.
  • Knowledge of back gouging, carbon arcing, or air arcing.
  • Safety-first mindset.
  • Ability to work overtime to meet production demands.
Preferred Skills
  • Understanding of quality requirements and ability to execute.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Willingness to work overtime to support production.
Additional Information
  • Location: South Milwaukee, WI.
  • Shifts: 2nd and 3rd shift available.
  • Pay starts at $28.17 (Step 1), increasing with certifications.
  • Full-time position (40 hours, 5 days/week).
  • No relocation assistance provided.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and medical evaluation.
  • Sign-on and retention bonuses available.
