This role focuses on delivering construction initiatives with minimal disruption to active operations, requiring strong coordination, planning, and leadership in dynamic, high-impact environments.

This position is ideal for an experienced construction professional who thrives in fast-paced operational settings, has expertise in remodels and active-site deployments, and can lead cross-functional teams to successfully deliver projects without impacting business continuity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage construction and remodeling projects across active operational sites.
  • Set project deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and report on project/program progress to leadership.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to execute construction initiatives without disrupting ongoing site operations.
  • Ensure all construction activities align with operational requirements and safety standards.
  • Prepare detailed reports and updates for leadership on project status, risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Apply creative solutions to construction challenges in complex, active environments.
  • Travel frequently (up to 70%) to construction and operational sites as required.

Top Required Skills

  • Preconstruction/Construction Management – 8+ years leading construction initiatives, particularly in operational environments.
  • Active Building Implementation – Demonstrated success deploying projects within active operational spaces, such as manufacturing or distribution centers.
  • Remodel Work Execution – Deep experience working on remodels at live, operational sites where minimizing business disruption is critical.

Skills & Experience Required

  • 8+ years of experience in construction management or preconstruction roles.
  • Proven track record implementing projects in active, operational buildings.
  • Experience managing remodeling projects within operational spaces without disrupting business activities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and team coordination skills.
  • Ability to navigate and problem-solve in live operational environments with urgency and creativity.
  • No specific software requirements, but strong general project management skills are essential.

Why This Role?

This position offers the opportunity to directly impact and improve large-scale operational sites through critical construction and remodel projects. You’ll lead high-visibility initiatives that support business growth while honing expertise in managing projects within live operational environments — a rare and highly sought-after skill set in construction and facility management.

Work Environment and Team Structure

  • Small, collaborative construction program team (3–4 people) working within a larger operational ecosystem (12+ total stakeholders).
  • High travel requirement (~70%) to project sites.
  • Project-based work requires adaptability and strong communication with on-site teams.
  • Flexible environment depending on construction phase; travel demands may vary with project needs.
  • Extension/conversion opportunities TBD based on business requirements and performance.
