POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Food & Beverage Cashier position works under the direct supervision of the F&B Supervisors. The cashier is responsible for ringing up all food transactions. They are proficient in money handling. They can make correct change and keep all receipts and paperwork organized. They are proficient in mixing and pouring beverages and abide by specific beverage recipes. They must have excellent customer service skills, as they are the first interaction with guests. They may also be asked to assist the host or busser on duty; they must ensure food quality and uphold high food safety and health standards.

The F&B Cashier is proficient in multiple outlets of F&B and may/will be expected to work in multiple locations. This position serves as a dual rated position and may/will be assigned multiple positions within the F&B department such as Server, Busser, Cashier, Host, and Expeditor.

This position ensures the confidentiality, security, and accuracy of guest’s records, and promotes positive guest and team member relations. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required and outstanding guest service to fellow team members, guests, vendors, etc. is expected. Regular attendance is required, and on occasion, later hours or weekend time may be required with project deadlines and a neat well-groomed professional appearance is essential at all times.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The essential functions of the Food & Beverage – Cashier position includes but not limited to:

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess refined verbal communication skills.
  • Previous hospitality experience preferred.
  • Keeps hostess/register area stocked, clean and presentable.
  • Keeps receipts organized.
  • Checks ID’s and collects signatures for all card transactions.
  • Helps clear and set tables when needed.
  • Knowledgeable about menu and liquor items.
  • Works safely and efficiently, utilizing safe equipment, techniques, and products.
  • Is friendly, helpful, and courteous with other Team Members and guests.
  • Is at workstation on time and prepared to begin work at scheduled time.
  • Prepare and serve hot or cold beverages.
  • Prepare and serve Ice Cream.
  • Check temperatures of freezers, refrigerators, and heating equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment.
  • Maintains high food safety and health standards.
  • Maintains inventory logs as required.
  • Count and accurately record gift shop inventory monthly.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

A High School Diploma or GED is required for this position.

SKILL, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Must be at least 18 years of age or older and have the ability to obtain and retain a Washington State Class II Gaming License; successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Must know State and County sanitation procedures and obtain and retain Washington State Food Handlers Permit, required.

A pleasant personality, team oriented and enjoys working with in a fast-paced environment. Will comply with, all Lucky Eagle Casino & Hotel Policies and Procedures, daily memorandums, chemical labels, and other instructions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

This position requires footwear with non-skid, slip resistant soles that will enable the team member to navigate a kitchen environment safely on floor surfaces commonly found in restaurants (i.e., smooth, wet, and greasy restaurant quarry tile).

While performing the duties of this position, the team member is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger; handle; feel; or grip objects, stretch and/or reach with hands and arms; stoop; crouch or work in cramped or awkward positions; repetitive motions. This person may regularly lift and/or move up to 75+ pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust to focus.

ENVIRONMENT:

The environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essential functions of the position.

Primarily indoors and may be exposed to heavy smoke and fluctuations in temperature while in and around the Casino and/or Hotel. May be exposed to continuous exposure to water, heat, and may from time-to-time exposed to noise from slot machines, customers, music and public announcement system, as is common in a Casino and/or Hotel environment.
