Job summary

Brose North America in New Boston, MI, seeks a Fastening Technologist to plan, review, set up and optimize threaded fastening processes and equipment for mechatronic seating components. You will work with plant PLC-based screwdrivers and related tooling to ensure precise assembly of seat structures, regulators, door modules, and related actuators.

The role requires hands-on experience with fasteners and PLC-controlled equipment, along with ensuring equipment reliability and process stability in

Qualifications

• 24 months' experience as Engr, Technologist, or related.
• Experience with plant fastening equipment and automated fasteners.

Responsibilities

• Plan, review, set up and improve threaded fastening processes.
• Calibrate and program threaded fastening controllers to Siemens PLCs.
• Ensure optimal equipment condition for assembly from mechanical and programming standpoints.
• Support production of mechatronic seating components (seat adjusters, motors, window regulators, door modules).

FASTENING TECHNOLOGIST

New Boston, MI, Brose North America.

Plan, review, set up, & improve threaded fasteners, joints & plant PLC-based threaded fastening screwdrivers & eqpt technologies on specialized threaded fastening eqpt to join mechatronic cmpts using threaded fasteners (screws, nuts & bolts made of high strength steel, aluminum & plastic, cold forged acc. drawing, ready-to-install, galvanized & coated) & ensure production of mechatronic psgr vehicle seat structures incl. seat adjuster syss & motors; window regulators; & door modules (incl. window regulators & door latches). Ensure plant fastening eqpt is in optimal condition to assemble from mechanical & prgrmg standpoints. Plan & assure optimal setup, calibration, & prgrmg of threaded fastening controllers to Siemens PLCs for the opr., sequencing, & control of prod. fastening eqpt incl. Apex & Desoutter transducerized nutsetters.
