Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. in Irvine, CA, is seeking a Level One Assembly Operator for the 2nd Shift. You will safely operate 2-5 component assembly machines to assemble a single fastener component, using basic shop math and print reading skills.

Reading English drawings, lifting up to 35 lbs, and adhering to PPE guidelines are required. Pay ranges from $19.50 to $29.50 per hour, plus a quarterly bonus, PTO, holidays, and standard benefits.

Overview

PCC Fasteners offers comprehensive product lines that cover aerospace fastening applications, including fasteners, precision components, tooling, and engineered system solutions for automotive, defense, industrial machinery, and other markets. Location: Headquartered in Irvine, CA. Shur-Lok manufactures fastening systems for engine module assembly, structural assembly, rotor blade attachment, and aircraft engine shaft and spindle applications. Irvine operations include CNC Machining, CNC Waterjet Cutting, Laser Marking, Heat Treating, NDT, and EDM.

Position summary and level: Level One assembly operators work under direct supervision to interpret basic work instructions and safely operate/attend basic 2-5 component assembly machines to assemble a single fastener component, with competencies in basic shop math, print reading, mechanical aptitude, understanding of assembly components, and lubrication functions.

Responsibilities

• Work safely under functional safety guidelines (PPE and equipment interaction).
• Assemble components using hydraulic press or other equipment per written instructions.
• Perform marking and identification operations per written instructions.
• Use inspection gauges to measure dimensions.
• Read and interpret part drawings in English.
• Assist with dimensional inspection activities as required.

Shift

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday (2:15pm - 10:45pm) with extended hours and weekend shifts as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay range: $19.50 to $29.50 USD hourly. Eligible for the Company’s Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out based on quarterly performance. 80 hours paid time off per year and 10 paid holidays. Medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Eligibility to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
