Job summary

Beach Happy is seeking a fast, creative Shooter/Editor to drive day-to-day production of social-first content across Beach Happy locations, road tours, events, activations, partnerships, and brand experiences.

The role requires independent in-field shooting and editing, strong editorial instincts, and the ability to turn raw footage into finished content quickly in a high-volume operation on the Gulf Coast.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional or demonstrated experience shooting and editing short-form, social-first content.
• Must independently shoot AND edit.
• Strong proficiency with CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or comparable editing software.
• Experience operating mobile and mirrorless cameras and capturing quality audio in field environments.
• Strong editorial instincts with the ability to recognize compelling moments without constant direction.
• Working knowledge of TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook requirements.
• Ability to work quickly without overproducing content or delaying publishing.
• Highly organized with large volumes of footage and assets.
• Comfortable outdoors, traveling, and working at events/activations.
• Must be available for periodic travel, evenings, weekends, events, and multi-day shoots.
• Must live on the Gulf Coast or be willing to relocate.
• Experience with creator content, podcasts, sports, hospitality, tourism, live events, or documentary-style field production is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Field Production & Content Capture: Shoot social-first content across beaches, venues, events, road trips, and activations.
• Editing & Same-Day Content: Edit vertical content for TikTok, Reels, Shorts, and other platforms; fast-turn delivery.
• Editorial Instinct & Storytelling: Identify strong moments independently and craft engaging stories.
• Visual Identity & Content Standards: Maintain Beach Happy's authentic, unpolished style.
• Road & Field Production: Support Gulf Coast shoots and multi-day productions in diverse environments.
• Events, Activations & Partnerships: Capture events and partner experiences for immediate/future use.
• Content Library & Clip Development: Organize, label, archive, and re-find material for reuse.
• Publishing & Distribution Support: Prepare platform-specific versions and assist uploads.
• Host & Team Collaboration: Work with Road Hosts and Executive Producer to optimize framing and coverage.
• Production Equipment & Organization: Maintain gear, batteries, media, transfers, and labeling.
