Job summary

Buddy’s Home Furnishings in Springdale, AR is hiring for a General Manager In Training. This in-person role trains you to run a store within 120-180 days, with built-in cross-training across all functions and ongoing coaching.

Ideal candidates have any combination of education and retail experience, must be 21 or older to drive, and will follow monthly marketing plans while building customer relationships and managing inventory.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in a retail setting.
• Experience in retail or other business emphasizing customer service, account management or merchandising.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and Maintain Customers
• Compliance with all applicable federal, state and local statutes
• Decipher, prepare and review financial statements and store reports
• Ensure adequate availability of merchandise at all times
• Fill out paperwork for submission to corporate support
• Follow monthly marketing plans
• Implement sales and marketing programs
• Maintain company vehicles within safe operating standards
• Managing inventory and cash assets
• Meeting company standards for quality, customer service and safety
• Meet and exceed target sales and revenue goals
• Implementing marketing and growth plans
• Prepare daily work schedules, assign tasks, evaluate employee performance; discipline, enforce company policy and terminate when appropriate
• Provide a safe, clean environment for customers and associates
• Recruit, hire, and train to ensure efficient operations
• Set goals and conduct weekly staff meetings
