Job summary

CNSS • National Security Systems seeks linguists for the Multidisciplined Language Analysts (MDLAs) role within NSA/CSS missions. Depending on skill and experience, applicants are considered for the Language Analysis Development Program (LADP) or direct hire into analytic offices.

Responsibilities include analyzing, transcribing, and translating foreign language materials, researching cultures, and synthesizing data to provide unique intelligence insights.

Qualifications

• Minimum ILR proficiency of 2/2 in reading and listening for the target language.
• At least one year of relevant experience in translation, transcription, language instruction, or analysis; OR related non-language work in intelligence/ cybersecurity etc.
• Entry levels vary: with high school diploma + 4 years, or Associate's +2 years, or Bachelor's +0 years. Full Performance requires more experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, transcribe, and translate key information for policymakers and military leaders.
• Research cultures and geopolitical contexts to inform analytic work with partners within the IC.
• Synthesize large volumes of data from disparate sources to address analytic problems.
• Demonstrate understanding of communications and technology trends relevant to SIGINT.
• Produce written and oral assessments offering unique insights for NSA mission.
• Collaborate with NSA teams and IC partners on research, analysis, and reporting.
