Job summary

The Rustic Dallas is seeking a Food/Drink Runner to help deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guests’ tables. You will also assist with removing used dishes and supporting front-of-house flow in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates are available for varied shifts, including weekends, and can maintain accuracy and courtesy while helping ensure a remarkable dining experience for every guest.

Qualifications

• Tip pool or share tips with other employees.
• Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules.
• Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours.
• Availability to work various shifts, including weekends.
• Multi-tasking abilities.
• Good oral communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment.
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations: TABC Certified and Food Handler Certified.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food and drink orders from the kitchen or bar to customers' tables rapidly and accurately.
• Communicate food changes or mistakes to chefs, noting priorities and special requests (e.g. allergies).
• Ensure food is served at proper temperatures and in correct seat rotation.
• Assist guests with additional orders or refills.
• Remove dirty dishes and utensils and deliver to the dish machine.
• Answer guests' questions about ingredients and menu items.
