Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; state requirements apply.
• 2+ years of related pharmacy experience; advanced degree may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Enter new and refill prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
• Triage incoming fax prescriptions for timely dispensing.
• Enter notes and cycle-fill coding in the system.
• Calculate and verify dosage based on prescriptions.
• Respond to customer calls with care and courtesy.
• Complete prescriptions within scheduled shift whenever possible.
• Coordinate with doctors' offices on refills as needed.
• Develop proficiency in pharmacy systems, imaging, and legacy software.
• Assist with filing, packaging, inventory, and patient records.
• Maintain cycle-fill data and ensure delivery deadlines.
